As a leading bank for SMEs, mid-size companies and large businesses in France, Crédit Agricole Île-de-France wanted to offer its customers support in terms of the environmental transition. The Bank has therefore signed a partnership with Carbometrix, a leading player in carbon performance calculation and benchmarking. The bank’s account managers will now offer Carbometrix’s solution to their corporate clients.
Carbometrix calculates the carbon footprint of the entire value chain of any company, operating in any industry. In addition to a detailed analysis of their emissions by major category (building, transportation, purchasing, information systems, etc.), companies will be able to benefit from a benchmark by industry and personalized, quantified decarbonisation paths.
As part of this partnership, Crédit Agricole d’Ile-de-France’s account managers have been trained in the Carbometrix solution and can thus introduce the Carbometrix offer to their clients.
The solution developed by Carbometrix, built based on the Bilan Carbone™ method and the GHG Protocol*, enables customers to know their carbon footprint, a prerequisite for any decarbonisation strategy.
According to Virginie Grouselle, Head of the Corporate Market at Crédit Agricole d’Ile-de-France: “Following up on its engagements, Crédit Agricole d’Ile-de-France supports the transition of Île-de-France companies in practical ways. Through this partnership with Carbometrix, we are providing our corporate clients with a quick and easy way to assess the carbon footprint of their activities across the entire value chain. It is also a great opportunity for us to promote a young company in our region that helps mitigate climate change.
Christian Couturier, co-founder of Carbometrix: “We are delighted with this partnership agreed with Crédit Agricole d’Ile-de-France, which demonstrates the relevance of our solution through the quality of the results produced and the ease of use for our customers. With this initiative, Crédit Agricole d’Ile-de-France is providing further proof of its commitment to the climate and its status as a responsible bank within the financial community.”
*The GreenHouse Gas Protocol establishes standardised, global and comprehensive frameworks for measuring and managing the greenhouse gas emissions of both private and public sector operations, value chains and mitigation actions.
